During the project Microsnow, field sampling was conducted at station Svartnes, Balsfjorden, Norway in June 2017 and June 2018. As background data, the concentration of i) chlorophyll a (Chl a) total (> 0.7 micrometer) (unit mg m^-3), ii) chlorophyll a (Chl a) > 10 micrometer (unit mg m^-3), iii) particulate organic carbon (POC) (>0.7 micrometer) (unit mg m^-3), iv) particulate organic nitrogen (PON) (>0.7 micrometer) (unit mg m^-3), and v) the atomic ratio of PON:PON. was determined in the water column at 0, 10, 20, 50, 90, 120 m depth (sampling with a 30 L GoFlow bottle).
